The Entel DT525 is an intrinsically safe DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) portable from the DTEx series, built for hazardous areas where explosive gas or dust makes an ordinary radio an ignition risk. It is certified to IECEx Ex ib IIA T4 Gb. Gas group IIA covers propane-type atmospheres. Because IIA is not held to the 2 W EIRP ceiling that applies to IIC, these models transmit at a full 4 W, which means noticeably better range where the higher gas group is not required. Please note: this variant is certified for markets outside the EU. For UK and EU sites, use the equivalent ATEX model.
