Hytera RD625 Repeater
What is a repeater, and why would I need one?
A Repeater is a device in radio engineering that increases the communication range.
It does this by receiving a weak radio signal, and then re-broadcasting the signal out again.
The process is done instantaneously, and the users will not notice a delay.
A repeater will be used if communication between two radio users, cannot be achieved, over the distance required.
Factors that limit the communication range of two-way radio signals, include hills and buildings, as well as the curvature of the earth.
