Hytera RD985
This Hytera RD985 rack mount repeater can help improve the signal distance of your voice radio communications.
It does this by receiving a weak signal via an antenna, and re-transmitting the signal simultaneously back out of the same antenna (can also use two antennas, though technical issues to be considered).
To enable signal reception and transmission at the same time, a device called a ‘Duplexer’ is used.
The Duplexer can be fitted inside the casing of the Hytera RD985 repeater, to save space.
The Hytera RD985 is designed to be ‘rack mounted’, though doesn’t need to be.
This repeater features a built in power supply, which is connected to the main electricity via a standard three pin plug and cord.
